What changed
As of November 3, 2026, Express Entry uses a new Labour Market Integration factor. Candidates can receive points through eligible Canadian work experience, with additional points for qualifying high-wage experience, or through a qualifying high-wage job offer.
Who this affects
The change may matter to candidates with eligible Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer. If both routes apply, IRCC awards the higher result rather than combining the two.
What to check
Review the official requirements and make sure your Express Entry profile contains accurate work-experience and job-offer information. A Labour Market Impact Assessment is no longer required for a qualifying Express Entry job offer, but officers still assess whether an offer is genuine.
